Description

Phaedra cv. is a strawberry variety developed by Berryplasma that stands out for its attractive bright red color, conical-cordiform fruit shape, and very good eating quality.

Based on observations carried out under trial conditions in Huelva, Phaedra began production during the first week of January, with a more pronounced production curve and maximum productivity during the second half of March and the first half of April.

Throughout the season, Phaedra stood out for combining excellent visual appearance with a highly interesting flavor profile. Brix analyses showed an average of 8.5 throughout the season, reaching values of up to 10.5 at certain moments, reinforcing its potential as a variety for markets that value both presentation and eating experience.

The plant presents a rustic profile, good tolerance to soil-borne fungal diseases, and low plant mortality observed in trial conditions, making Phaedra a promising alternative within EMCO CAL’s portfolio of Berryplasma strawberry varieties.
